Introduction

As a community at Ashburnham Place, we, like millions of others, have been deeply troubled & moved by the number of people finding themselves displaced, having to flee their homes & often their country. For over 60 years, Ashburnham Place has been a gift – a place of refuge, rest and retreat for people from all over the world.

Our response

In response to the Ukrainian crisis and as part of being a gift, we are offering a couple of nights stay, free of charge, to individuals and families who have been affected by war or conflict.

Throughout the years, Ashburnham Place has gifted retreats wherever we can, without a fund in place. Our new initiative, the ‘Supported Retreat Fund,’ whilst a direct response to the unfolding humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, will also provide opportunities of rest and healing for others who have suffered financial hardship, conflict or displacement due to extenuating circumstances. This fund is an opportunity for Friends of Ashburnham to sow directly into such ‘supported retreats.’

Our heart is to extend our welcome here, so in whatever way you can support – whether it be through prayer of finances, we will be truly grateful.

Your gift will go directly towards hosting,  including food and accommodation.

Thank you so much.”
